Someone Sent Me this Beautiful Bouqs Bouquet

Bouq's Bouquet

It was me. I sent them to myself! I love fresh flowers, and these are so beautiful! A rep from The Bouqs contacted me to find out if I’d like a free bouquet of fresh flowers. Who would say No to a gorgeous bouquet of fresh flowers for free? (Please note that what you see in the picture on one of the white petals is NOT the petal turning brown, just some pollen that fell onto the petal. This photo is from the SEVENTH day!)

Flowers definitely add to a happier and better life! They lend a cheerful element to a room, and they are mood-enhancing. The representative gave me a coupon code to use so I could shop and choose my own Bouq if I would write this review of my honest opinion. Once I started researching The Bouqs, I was amazed I had somehow missed out hearing about them before!  I have ordered flowers for my mother or mother-in law for $24.99 or $34.99 that really ended up costing $65 or more by the time they added in taxes and delivery. At The Bouqs.com bouquets are $40 flat, including delivery. No added fees!

The flowers grow on the side of a volcano in South America. They are fresher and last longer than other flowers, because they are not stored in any warehouse. They don’t cut the flowers until after they receive your order! It is very important to read carefully about delivery times because they do not cut flowers on certain days of the week. Delivery is very fast from that point, but if you order prior to a couple of non-cutting days, that will hold up your order and delivery. I chose these gorgeous lilies.

They have optional and very unique concierge services people can choose to sign up for that will automatically remember birthdays and events for you, let you set up subscription service for regular flower deliveries, and/or automatically ship bouquets if you like. Genius!

Here is my experience with The Bouqs.

(This is NOT a paid review!) When my flowers arrived via FedX, they were boxed very nicely. They were secured by a band that was attached both inside and outside the box to keep them secured and undamaged.  My kids took delivery of the box during the day while I was at work. They set it unopened in my bedroom and did not tell me about it when I got home from work. As luck would have it, I had a meeting that evening. Finally when I got home again after 9:00 pm, the kids told me the box was in my room. I was amazed to find that the flowers didn’t seem wilted at all!

At first I thought I was going to be disappointed when I removed them from the box. They seemed so sparse and few, and there was only one bud beginning to open. At the time, it seemed like there should have been more stalks.

Day 1

I followed the easy instructions on the box to trim them and put them in a vase, and they already started looking more lush once they were not banded so tightly together. There were dozens of buds waiting to open!

Day 2

Day 2

Here is what they looked like when I got up the next morning on Day 2. I only have one negative thing to say, and this is not The Bouqs fault, it is truly my own fault. I never had lilies before, so I did not know how strong these things smell! In my ignorance, I expected a sweet and pleasant fragrance like roses. Lilies do not smell sweet and pleasant like roses! They are very beautiful, but I decided next time I will buy roses.

Day 5

Day 5. Oops, I should have rotated the vase to show off the blooms to better advantage. They looked a lot prettier from the other side!

Day 7

Day 7

Here is my Bouqs bouquet on Day 7! It is truly amazing how fresh these flowers are and how long they are lasting! A friend gave me some great information. She told me  if you cut off the brown stamens from the center of the lilies, they will not have that strong scent, and you can enjoy their beauty without the overpowering aroma. We have finally gotten used to it, or it has finally gotten softer, because it isn’t bothering us any more. I’m going to leave the lilies intact at this point.

day 11

day 11

It is now 11 days, and this is how fresh they still look today! There are still more buds that  are beginning to open today, and two more that will probably open tomorrow. They have not wilted at all, and every day the arrangement just keeps getting fuller and lovelier! The flowers are so jam-packed together it’s difficult to add water. I have never in my life had flowers stay this fresh and beautiful for so long!
