Trendspotting: Cotton

{1,2, 3 &4, 5&6}

Part of every summer growing up was spent in Mississippi visiting my grandmother.
As a kid, my mom could earn 10 cents per garbage bag she filled up with cotton.
times have changed, i bought a small bag for $10!

  Cotton fields cover Mississippi.. It's one of the reason I love the ride through the 'Sip.
and lightning bugs and fields of cotton or wheat - what could be better?
so of course, i love to see cotton incorporated into weddings these days.
it's natural, raw, and southern to the core.

 { $22 barn wood planter boxes // $7-11 wood planters }

Whether wood planters have a sweet calligraphy saying on the side, painted gold, vintage, stained to be made darker, or as is - i love them.
They are a nice change from the glass vases.
 I can see them fitting perfectly at a barn, backyard, or garden wedding.
or ya know on my back porch (:

Hi y'all.

It was nice of you to stop by!  I'm the girl with the big crush on her husband.  I hit the jackpot with him and I'm often shouting that from the rooftop.  When you've got something good, it's impossible not to.   That's one of the big reasons I'd love to share in your joy as you plan your wedding.  Getting to know my clients, their story, and their personal style doesn't feel like work because I love it so much.

I am inspired by strong marriages, southern traditions, flea markets, my mother, and art in all its glorious forms.  I am drawn to every shade of the ocean, golds, and soft pinks.  My favorite smells are fresh gardenias, the salt air, and confederate jasmine.  I love all of the little things in life, as well as in weddings.  But the big picture, that vision that is developed from the beginning, and ultimately
the pledging of forever
is what makes every bit of my job worth it, and a dream come true.

I believe:
 in grace, faith, and Gods unfailing love
in doing the seemingly impossible
that parcel and post trumps email
in beach days
that tears through laughter is the best emotion
in true friendship
in fresh flowers on my table
that travel is worth every dime
that your spouse needs to be your best friend
