Vows

posted on: Monday, July 16, 2012

I can usually hold myself together through ceremonies ... well, that is until the vows.  They get me, every time.
A few of my favorites from around the web, and the last one hangs out in my Bible by my bed.

{the vows from the movie, The Vow.  whoa!}
{love this one from Niseemade}

{Via - I love when I see calligraphy vows.  a definite framer!}
and of course, my favorite's vows (my parents).
and the sweetest in my opinion!
...

Will/Did you write your own vows?

7 love letters:

  1. I am chuckling to myself right now as I also blogged about vows today! only I actually wrote the post a week ago and kept rescheduling it for a better day. I have been having a hard time writing mine. I didn't want them to be long and winded or cheesy.

  3. We used traditional Lutheran vows, but I love them! Simple and still full of love and promise. They mean more to me now than they ever did when I was planning our wedding. I don't usually post links to my posts in comments, but I wrote about living our vows in this post:

    It's one of my favorite posts.

  4. The vows are my favorite part too. Well that and when the groom see the bride for the first time. Oh, and when the bride and her father dance. And the toasts too! I kinda love it all :)

  5. Jim's vows! I can't handle it. I'm going to put my Mom and Ron's/our vows on a print. If you email yours I'll make one for you. Such a good idea.
